The Festival of Nations is an annual event that has been hosted at Bryant for a while now. The show consists of dances from cultures all over the world. This year Bryant decided to call the show “The Global Heartbeat”. This name was made to express how all these cultures from all around the world come together and unite. The Festival of Nations is something that all students look forward to all year long. Each cultural club at Bryant all works together to come up with dances to showcase their culture.
When families walked into Bryant, they were taken into the gym where there was a Smorgasburg with food from all cultures displayed for everyone to see and enjoy. Teachers from Bryant came out holding serving trays, handing food out to the parents and students. There were varieties of foods for everyone to taste. It gave the parents and students a key idea of which countries were performing. During this time, if anyone wasn’t able to buy a ticket before, they were given the opportunity to buy the ticket for only 5 dollars. After all the parents and students were done eating, they were taken to the auditorium to watch the show.
The cultures that performed were Peru, Bangladesh, Mexico, China, Columbia, Philippines, Tibet, Dominican Republic, India (Bollywood), Ecuador, Mediterranean, Korea, Nepal and lastly the USA. Before each cultural club went on, there was a preview of the country’s beautiful scenery and historical monuments. Since the theme was global heartbeat, there was a heart that exploded every time a group went up. The dancers all danced gracefully and truly expressed their culture. They all looked so happy and proud to be up there.
Bryant’s 2025 Festival of Nations truly brought the whole school together. Each cultural group did a fascinating job at expressing their culture through their outfits and dances. This event didn’t just do an amazing job at showcasing different cultural dances and food, it also brought the whole school community together, since it truly showed that even though everyone is from different parts of the world, in the end, Bryant is one.
