Our school newspaper, Owl Outlook, is very excited to host a creative writing competition. We are looking for creative, thoughtful, and interesting submissions. Submit your best work! We encourage you to workshop your essay with friends or teachers.
Short Fiction: Submit one short story. Word count cannot exceed 3,000 words.
Creative Nonfiction: Submit one piece of creative nonfiction–a memoir, a personal essay, etc.
Poetry: Submit up to three pieces of poetry
You may submit work for all three genres, but only one submission per genre.
We will announce and publish on our website three finalists from each category and grade level. Out of that three, one winner per grade will be announced and will receive some special prizes.
Submission Deadline: Friday, December 13th
