Lunar New Year is also known as Chinese New Year. Lunar New Year is a celebration that invites the start of spring. This holiday is celebrated all over China and is also celebrated in Vietnam and South Korea. Lunar New Years started about 3,500 years ago, during the Shang Dynasty. There are many ways to celebrate Lunar New Year. For example, lighting fireworks, burning lanterns, visiting families houses and giving out red envelopes filled with money to family and loved ones. When the holiday first started during the Shang Dynasty they would have sacrificial ceremonies, ceremonies to honor Gods and their ancestors.
Bryant celebrated Lunar New Year at Bryant with food, friends, faculty, and a lot of fun activities.
