Some of the activities during Respect for All week included fun games like an Identity-themed Bingo, where students were given a randomized bingo sheet and instructed to find their peers who matched a criteria in-line with the theme for the day. Criteria included things like “Find someone who speaks a language you do not” or “Find someone who has traveled to another country.” The purpose was to have students meet each other outside their typical social groups, and to highlight diversity at Bryant. When students found someone, they had that person’s initial on the square on their sheet. When students had five squares in a row filled out, they got some Global Kids swag.
On the next day, there was another day of fun games and prizes, which was an LGBTQIA+ word scramble. Participants broke up into teams to match the LGBTQIA+ themed word, with its definition. The first team to get 10 definitions correct won a prize! Its purpose was to teach students words commonly used amongst the LGBTQ community such as Enby and Gender Affirming Surgery.
